Seven pregnant Primary Leaving Examination candidates have today sat their examinations in Masindi.

The Ugandan law doesn’t stop pregnant pupils or students from writing their exams.

The District Education Officer of Masindi, Deo Byakagaba says the pregnant PLE candidates have their constitution right to write their papers.

Out of the seven candidates, six were from Mihembero Primary School and one from Kiryandongo Primary School.

Fiona Bbale, a pregnant PLE candidate of Kiryandongo Primary School has delivered a baby girl during her Social Studies paper.

The PLE examinations kicked off today November 2nd and they will end on November 3rd, 2009.
